Updated: Aug 29, 2022

Scheduling A Bridal Consultation

Hello everyone and welcome, to my first blog. First off thanks for being here and i believe you will find this very educative.Picking a bridal dress is a very important part of the wedding planning process. It can be a very stressful or very memorable process depending on how you go about it.There's really nothing that can compare to the joy in a woman's heart when she knows that in she will soon walk down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams because;

“When you realize that you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, You want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible” Nora Epron.

Your wedding day is all about you. It's all about the dreams that you have for that day. However, there is also a lot of pressure on brides since everyone is usually looking forward to the wedding day in anticipation of what the bride will wear.Moreover your future husband is having all kinds of visions in his mind about what you will be wearing. In some cases the brides mums/parents/friends/siblings have their own vision of what they believe the bride should wear. But remember that this day is all about you, your personal style, preferences and things that you have always wished for and so its ok to listen to suggestions but remember that the decision is yours. You must be ready to take the lead in the dress selection process, or it will end up being stressful and could bring conflict into some of your major relationships before the wedding day.

To minimize the stress of the dress selection process. Here is something you can do, chooses two people that you are comfortable with, who are open minded and respectful of your wishes and have a discussion with them about your vision of the ideal wedding dress for you. Give them room to throw in ideas and check out different styles and inspirations online and pick out a couple of styles that you are willing to try on when you get into any bridal shop. The three of you should be the only people to handle the dress shopping experience because;

“On her wedding day, a woman, should make sure that she has found the dress that makes her feel confident, But above all else beautiful. Carolina Herrera”

Here are some steps to help you find the ideal dress and some of the questions that you will need to answer before we meet for a bridal consultation.

1)Kind Of Wedding: So what kind of wedding is it going to be? Is it a church wedding, court wedding or a destination wedding at an outdoor location such as a beach, or a resort?

2)What kind of dress do you want? To make the dress shopping process easier it is very important to determine beforehand what kind of dress you will love for your big day. Dress styles include: Ball gowns, Mermaid gowns, Trumpet gowns, A-Line gowns, The Sheath gown, The Empire Line gown. (we go into the detailed description of the different dress in a separate blog.)

3)What's your budget: How much are you willing to spend on a dress. This is very important because when you get into a shop the dresses should be looking at, should be within your budgetary restriction. Also knowing your budget will determine if you should be renting your dress instead of buying it. 4)When is the wedding: Knowing the exact date of you, wedding is very important, based on the wedding date we are able to determine how much time we have to find your ideal dress. My ideal booking time frame is 6 months in advance but in rare situations I could work with shorter deadlines. Please note that for any client requesting a dress out of the United States you must schedule your consultation six months in advance.

6)What other accessories do you need: We are able to supply you with wedding accessories including tiaras, bridal petticoats, jewelry, purses, shoes, bridal dress belts/sash, gloves and veils. So make sure that we discuss all of your needs during your consultation.

7)Consultation Fee(limited to wedding dress Consultations and not applicable to dresses already listed on the website) - One Hour Maximum

There is a refundable consultation fee of $50 for in person consultations. This fee covers my gas when driving to you, my time and any services that I will offer you. If you drive to me your consultation fee is $20

A Consultation fee of $15 for over the phone consultations

We will refund 50% of the consultation fee if we are unable to find the dress that you are looking for. We are able to also apply 100% Of your consultation fee to any product in the store or towards your final purchase.

When you have researched on the above points and understood what you need to know before booking a consultation you can now move to step eight and schedule your consultation.

8)Consultation Calendar: To Book a consultation. Please take a look at the consultation calendar and choose the best time to reach you and the best number to reach you. Also leave a brief summary of what your needs are. Please make sure you pay consultation fee.

9)Shipping For Clients Abroad: For those out of the united states, we are able to ship your orders to you, but we must have enough time before the wedding to ensure that the dress arrives to you at least two months before time.

10)Sizing: Some of the dresses listed on our site may not be available in your size. Please reach out to us through this email (luluglobalevents@gmail.com) and we can have one custom made for you.

Please note that you do not need a consultation for dresses featured on the website you can buy directly but if you do not find your size or the right color please send me your measurements and I will be sure to get i custom made for you.
